October is right around the corner and it’s time to start celebrating the season! Oktoberfest is traditionally held in Munich, Germany each year and runs mid-September until the first week of October. However, you don’t have to travel all the way to Germany to find some great Oktoberst style beers.  Grab your Lederhosen and enjoy one of these craft beer events to celebrate the season. Prost!

Oktoberfest | Black Star Co-op 4pm
Black Star is releasing their first ever Oktoberfest styel beer, brewed with 100% Blacklands Malt and are offering limited edition Black Star branded steins for purchase.

Saturday 9/15
Oktoberfest at H&G! | Hops and Grain 12pm
Hops and Grain is bringing back their O-Fest Märzen Lager after a 2-year hiatus and as a bonus The Food Monger is serving house-made brats with their Hops & Grain beer mustard & beer cheese. Costumes encouraged!

Celis Oktoberfest 12pm
Tickets for this event that guaranteed you a mug, pretzel and a pour are sold out; however, the event is open to the public and there will be plenty of beer & pretzels for everyone. This year Celis brewed a Wiesn beer for the event, a golden Oktoberfest lager that is only brewed once a year by Paulaner. They will also have a Marzen on tap.

10th Annual Oktoberfest Party | Black Sheep Lodge 2pm
This annual event is back this year with more shenangians including a stein holding contest, Hammerschloogen, brats, pretzels and all the Oktoberfest beer.

Hi Sign Brewing 2018 Oktoberfest 12pm | Tickets
Hi Sign will be pouring a fresh batch of Oktoberfest Marzen Lager and will feature live music by Austin Polka Band, and fresh bratwurst by Frank.
Advance General Admission tickets are $25 and include a custom 17oz. Oktoberfest stein, two beer tickets for pours of Oktoberfest lager,
Advance VIP tickets include a limited edition 1 LITER Oktoberfest 2018 stein, one beer ticket for a pour of Oktoberfest lager, Hi Sign Brewing wayfarer style sunglasses, and a fresh grilled bratwurst.

Real Ale Oktoberfest 12pm | Tickets
Join Real Ale out in the Texas Hill Country to celebrate with fresh beer, the Polkasonics and a variety of food vendors. Limited edition Oktoberfest mugs will be guaranteed to advance ticket buyers and each ticketholder will receive four (yes four!) full pours.

Oaktoberfest| Live Oak Brewing Co. 1pm
OAKtoberfest is back and Live Oak is ready to celebrate the return of thier fall classic by throwing a party. No tickets are required; however, be aware they will not be opening tabs for this event. Live music, fantastic beer and food will abound at this annual event.

Oktoberfest Opening Ceremony! | Whitestone Brewery 12pm
Whitestone is celebrating the season with an opening and closing event. The opening event premiers the annual tapping of a special Oktoberfest cask at 2pm, a stein holding contest at 4pm, and live music from OFF THE GRID BAND from 5-8pm.

Dig Pub 11th Anniversary Party and Oktoberfest 4pm
The Dig is turning 11 and is celebrating with specialty beer tappings every hour on the hour starting at 5:00 with some amazing Oktoberfest brews to choose from, food specials, expanded outdoor seating, and some other exciting happenings you will not want to miss.

Barktoberfest: Benefitting Austin Pets Alive! | Yard Bar 1pm
Held each Saturday until October 6th, the event kicks off with a Stein Holding contest sponsored by Sam Adam’s! Entrance is $15 and gets you a Sam Adam’s Oktoberfest Stein, a 24oz pour of a Sam Adam’s draft to hoist (and drink) and $5 will be donated to APA!

Special Oktoberfest taps and a stein holding competition, plus beer brats on the grill!

Oktoberfest at Uncle Billy’s
Uncle Billy’s is celebrating Oktoberfest all weekend on Saturday, Sept. 22 and Sunday, Sept. 23. To mark the occasion, they are releasing a special Rye Oktoberfest beer called “I Know a Little German” and will feature live music, German food specials, door prizes and party games all weekend.

Hopdoddy’s Burger Bar
From Sept. 22 through Oct. 2, hamburger lovers and hopheads across the Lone Star State can get Hopdoddy’s limited-time Das Brat Burger featuring a house made bratwurst and potato patty topped with a Bavarian-style apple and cabbage slaw, lingonberry preserves and Oktoberfest pickled mustard seeds and a pint of Saint Arnold’s seasonal Oktoberfest for only $10.

In this 1.5 hour class, you will hand paint a design on a beer glass guided by an instructor from Le Painted Grape. All painting supplies and beer glass included.

6th Annual Austin Oktoberfest – AustOberfest! | Austin Saengerrunde & Scholtz Garten 5pm | Tickets
The Austin Saengerrunde will be celebrating it’s 6th Annual AustOberfest with Foodways Texas, celebrating Central Texas German heritage with ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT sausage, bier tastings, contest stage, bowling & live music from the Austin Polka Band and the Chainlink Band! Ticket Includes: Specialty Glassware, Unlimited Sausage Tastings, and Drink Tickets. Access will be open in the Garten, Scholz’s, Saengerrunde Halle and Bowling Alley.

The Brewer’s Table is taking it’s own spin on Oktoberfest with a metal focused day of beer drinking. Chef Zach Hunter will be grilling up blood sausages in the outdoor smoker paired with a new beer release Rheinheitsgenot from Head Brewer Drew Durish to help wash it all down.

Oktoberfest Closing Ceremony | Whitestone Brewery 12pm
Closing out the weeks long celebration, the closing ceremony includes drink specials and a bratwurst eating contest.

The 4th Annual Bluebonnet Beer Company Oktoberfest will have polka music, American and German style beers, bratwurst, soft pretzels, Kinder Park inflatables area for the kids, contests, prizes, local craft vendors and much more. Tickets are only $5 for adults and kids under 18 FREE.
