Grab a Pink Boots Collaboration Brew at Two May Events
Austin’s chapter of Pink Boots Society, a non-profit organization designed to assist, inspire and encourage female beer professionals, had record participation during the annual Pink Boots Collaboration Brew Day, held each year in honor of International Women’s Day. Each beer was brewed using a special hop blend by Yakima Chief Hops featuring Loral, Glacier, Mosaic, Sabro, and Simcoe hops in varying beer styles.

Note: all the beers highlighted here are currently available at the brewery’s taprooms. The events listed below present a special opportunity to try more than one of the Pink Boots collaboration beers.
On Saturday May 4th, come out to Vista Brewing and enjoy Zwickled Pink on tap, along with samples from Hops and Grain, Middleton Brewing, The Brewtorium Brewery & Kitchen and Black Star Co-op Pub & Brewery. Donations will be accepted during the event benefitting our local Pink Boots chapter, which provides educational opportunities to our members.

Sunday May 12th come celebrate Mother’s Day at Easy Tiger at the LINC with Pink Boots Society. Chapter leader Laura Christie will be on site and Easy Tiger will have five Pink Boots Collaboration Brew Day beers on tap, along with a special beer from Real Ale Brewing Company. Real Ale released their PBS brew, Pieces of TX, in March and it’s already gone! So, they are planning to participate in the Mother’s Day event with a barrel-aged sour ale Cherry DeLux.

Everybody Wins | Hops and Grain | 5.2% ABV
A lightly hopped Pale Ale brewed up by the ladies of Hops and Grain.
Zwickeled Pink | Vista Brewing | 5/3% ABV
A classic, unfiltered German Pilsner dry hopped with the YCH Pink Boots hop blend and brewed by Pink Boots members.
Dolly | St. Elmo Brewing Co. | 5.7% ABV
A Hoppy Blonde with apricot brewed by the ladies of St. Elmo.
Ruth’s Resistance | Middleton Brewing | 5.9% ABV
A Pale Ale brewed by Pink Boots members.
Nāmaka Coconut IPA | The Brewtorium Brewery & Kitchen | 7.8% ABV
Inspired by the unique coconut notes found in the Sabro hop, double dry hopped IPA brewed by the ladies of the Brewtorium.
That’s What She Did | Black Star Co-op Pub & Brewery | 5.5% ABV
A crushable Pale Ale brewed by Pink Boots members.
