Drink Responsibly: A Summer Series Guide

Summer is a great time to celebrate with your friends and family with your favorite craft beers. A few reasons to celebrate starts with our country’s independence, your much-anticipated vacation time, and outdoor summer concerts.

Although it’s a time of the year to kick back and enjoy your favorite brews, it’s important to drink responsibly. Too often a careless error results in getting an embarrassing ticket or someone getting hurt. This summer be sure to drink responsibly with a few tips in mind:

Plan ahead

No matter what your venue or event may entail, be sure to plan ahead of time. This will elude to a fun-filled experience. Planning ahead can help you save time by arriving early and beating heavy traffic.

Planning ahead can also be the difference in getting a ride to and from a summer concert series and getting pulled over for a DUI.

Always have a designated driver

A great way to ensure everyone’s safety is to have at least one friend planning on being the designated driver. If the temptation is too much, be sure to utilize services such as Uber, Lyft, or even a local taxi cab.

Know your limit

If you’re not already familiar, your BAC, blood alcohol concentration is affected by various factors that range in your weight, alcohol consumed, duration, and so on. In every state, you are considered legally impaired if your level reaches 0.08%.

It’s also important to note that most states have a “zero tolerance” law. If you are under the legal age in your state, this means you shouldn’t have any trace of alcohol in your system.
