Celis Brewery Releases Its First Beers in Cans

AUSTIN, Texas (March 6, 2018) — Celis Brewery is now distributing Celis White, the legendary witbier created by Pierre Celis in 1965, packaged in aluminum cans for the first time. Celis White, made with the original Celis recipe and passion for quality, is fully portable just in time for spring and summer outdoor activities.

“Selling our beer in cans offers more choice and accessibility for beer-lovers in Texas,” says Christine Celis, founder of Celis Brewery. “Our beer has been so well received on tap and in bottles, and now people can crack a Celis White at festivals and fun outdoor activities like a day at the beach, camping, picnics, boating, and anywhere glass bottles aren’t allowed. Celis White in cans with its refreshing taste is perfect to enjoy on a warm Texas afternoon. We’ll introduce other beer in cans soon.”

Celis White in aluminum chills faster than bottles, and take up less space, making them easier to store. Beer in cans is protected from UV light and protected from oxidation, which preserves its citrusy fresh taste even longer. Celis Brewery will continue to package Celis White in bottles and keg as well.

Celis Brewery beers are available on tap, in bottles, and now in cans at hundreds of bars, restaurants, and retail stores in Texas. Celis Brewery is distributed by Brown Distributing Co. Inc. in Austin; Andrews Distributing in Dallas, Fort Worth and Corpus Christi; Silver Eagle Distributing in Houston; GLI Distributing in San Antonio; M. L. Wismer Distributing in Baytown; Kristen Distributing Company in College Station; Del Papa Distributing Company in Galveston, Beaumont and Victoria; and Tri-City Distributors in New Braunfels, TX.
