The main bit of news over the last week is that Texas is one step closer to allowing beer-to-go sales from breweries. The battle now will come from the senate, which “should” be easier to get past than the house. But, this is Texas, so no one really knows. That should happen in a week or two. The legislative battle over beer-to-go sales from breweries may be slowing down thanks to simple donations from specific distributors to specific people in charge. It is amazing how a little money can make someone not pass laws that actually help the small businesses of the state.
